Task
Build a wedding identity that wasn't off a shelf

My fiancée and I both wanted stationery that felt designed rather than templated. Working from our own brief made the bar high: this had to look like work I'd be proud to put in the portfolio, not just a wedding favor to ourselves.

Action
Designed a full mark system, then produced it across letterpress, wax, and vinyl

A monogram, two animal marks for the family names, and a typographic system to tie it all together. Partnered with Too Much Press to letterpress the invitations and RSVPs on heavy French Paper Co. stock. Wax seals on the envelopes. Laser-cut vinyl for the larger day-of signage.

Result
A cohesive identity that ran from the first save-the-date to the last sign at the venue

Every piece read as part of the same family, from the envelope wax to the entry sign. We got compliments on the suite from people who don't usually notice that kind of thing, which is the highest bar a wedding identity can clear.

Identity Marks

I designed this custom "ed" monogram and an animal mark with a rabbit for Easter and a mallard for Maller. The monogram anchored the formal stationery and the animal mark added warmth and playfulness.
